1. Android Version 6 / 7+
SD Card Name (external storage sd card)
With Android Version 6 / 7+ Android gives the external SD Card a different name.
This is an example of a new name /storage/0E4B-32DE (the name on your device will be different)
Internal Storage Name (internal sd card)
The internal storage is usually called /sdcard - OziExplorer normally opens the Folder selector at the storage folder, to get to the internal sdcard folder you need to select the [.. up one level] option.
Map File Path
If upgrading from an older Android version the "Map File Path" in OziExplorer will no longer be correct and will cause problems of course (usually the World map is loaded).
You must change the "Map File Path" option in OziExplorer General Settings.
Be careful that you choose the correct path.
NOTE: Many Android devices have 2 SD Cards, one is built into the device and the other is external.
NOTE: The Path name that OziExplorer shows after a folder selection may be different to what you selected as Android uses symbolic link names to show the folder names but returns the real name to OziExplorer.

ECW Maps
With Android 6 / 7+ OziExplorer will no longer be able to load maps in the ECW format an update to OziExplorer version 1.28 fixes this.
2. Using Large SD Cards > 32Gb
OziExplorer uses a lot of native code for increased speed, native code runs in the Linux Operating System.
On many Android devices Linux does not support large SD Cards >32Gb
For OziExplorer, use an SD Card of 32Gb or less or reformat your larger SD Card to FAT32.
Microsoft Windows will not format large SD Cards to FAT32 so you must use 3rd party software.
I have found this program works OK (no affiliation with the developer).

NOTE : FAT32 limits file sizes to a maximum of 4Gb.
3. Recovering from OziExplorer Crash when starting OziExplorer
This will force a complete re initialization of OziExplorer. You will need to reconfigure OziExplorer and perhaps move maps and data to the new OziExplorer folder.
Other Issues
Symptoms - The program does not run or closes unexpectedly when accessing the menus or performing some other function.
Fix - The option "Do not keep activities" (also called "Immediately destroy activities") must NOT be set to ON. This option in device Settings / Developer Options should not be set under normal user-conditions. OziExplorer will not run with this option set to ON.
Symptoms - "Map Image Not Loaded" is shown on the screen. OziExplorer could not find the map image to load or the map image file is corrupted.
Fix - Check you have a map image for each (.map) file in your "OziExplorer/Maps" folder. (Note: If you have copied your "Maps" folder used in PC OziExplorer to use on your device, do not copy the Internet Maps or Seamless Maps folders, OziExplorer Android cannot use these maps.
