From time to time a development version will be available from the development page which includes new features under development.

Development page

We are currently doing a major rewrite of OziExplorer, just about everything will be changed/improved so there are too many to list, below are some of the major changes.

• Smooth zooming and more zoom levels for all map types
• Ability to display north up, course up, destination up
• Support for more Local grid systems
• Multiple waypoint files loaded at the same time
• User Symbols for waypoints (Status: added to development version)
• No limit on the number of waypoints (Status: has been increased to 10,000)
• New track handling / editing
• No limit on number of tracks  (Status: has been increased to 1,000)
• Improved route handling
• Improved Map Features display
• Automatic Ship Identification (AIS) support (Status: added)
• Improved Moving Map display parameters
• Menu re-organization
• Seemless maps (Status: has been added)

OziExplorerCE

• Parameter screens to be user configurable (Status: this has been added)
• Calculation and display of more parameters (Status: new parameters are added as required)
• Odometer functions (Status: 3 odometers and a trip odometer have been added as parameters)
