OziExplorer 3D
- History of Changes
Version 1.14 (May 2013)
Changes
- Fixed issue with loading ozf converted BSB KAP files.
Version 1.13 (February 2013)
Changes
- Added support for the new ozf4 image format (to be released soon).
Version 1.12 (September 2010)
Changes
- For Vista and Windows 7 - changed folder where configuration files are
stored to c:\{user}\.OziExplorer
- Added support for the new ozfx3 large file formats.
Version 1.11 (May 2007)
Fixes
- For Windows Vista - when checking for the existence of the HTML Help
engine it was not found and this caused OziExplorer3D to freeze (it was
waiting for user input to a hidden window). HTML Help is standard in Windows
Vista and the checking routines have been updated and this problem is now
fixed.
Changes
- Windows Vista does not allow programs to store configuration files in the
"Program Files" folder tree. If installed on Windows Vista this version of
OziExplorer3D stores its configuration files in the AppData folder of the
current User. Note that this folder is not visible to a User unless the
"Show Hidden Files and Folders" option is selected in "Search and Folder
Options".
Version 1.10 (May 2006)
Changes
- Added support for additional ozfx3 image format types.
- Fixed a rare problem which caused OziExplorer3D to freeze when loading.
Version 1.09 (May 2005)
Changes
- Added support for additional ozfx3 image format types.
- Added support for Kompass maps.
- Added the ability to turn off the message "The map has not been saved
......". This option is in configuration.
Version 1.08
Changes
- Added support for the new ozfx3 image format.
Version 1.07b
Fixes
- Minor fix for loading some specific 1 bit per pixel tif image formats.
Changes
Version 1.07a
Fixes
- The use of the Elevation Offset control cause the map image to become
fragmented, now fixed.
Changes
Version 1.07
Fixes
Changes
- The minimum altitude handling has been changed so it will not go below zero if "No Elevation < Zero" has
been ticked. This helps when there is "bad" data with elevations less than
zero.
- Added a new option the the Map Control which allows the image position to
be dragged up and down. Again this is useful when "bad" data has forced the
map image to be off the screen.
- Added keyboard control for rotating moving and so on - see the help file
for details.
- Added the ability to select the font type, size and so on for the various
labels used on the 3D map.
- The Height Factor bar on the Map Control dialog has been reversed, up is
now larger height factor.
- Added support for loading ecw images from ecw web image servers.
- Waypoints and tracks now plot in correct locations rather than plotting on
pixel boundaries for highly zoomed images.
Version 1.06
Fixes
- Version 1.05 was compiled with Delphi Version 6 which seems to have
problems with some code modules causing obscure problems with OziExplorer3D
such as not displaying loaded waypoints or tracks in some circumstances. Have
now compiled again with Delphi 5 and it should be ok.
Changes
Version 1.05
Fixes
- Fixed a problem where buttons in OziExplorer3D would not work after the
program was minimized and then a new 3D map was created in OziExplorer and
sent to OziExplorer3D.
- Fixed a minor problem where the splash screen would overlay a message box
when clicking on .3d1 files from Windows Explorer.
Changes
Version 1.04
Fixes
- Fixed a problem with objects using the France Grids not positioning
correctly.
Changes
- A new version (1.1) of oziGunzip.exe is included in the download, this
version has been modified to handle the DTED data downloaded from NIMA.
- In OziExplorer3D, areas which have an "altitude unknown" flag were being
assigned an altitude of zero. In this version "altitude unknown" areas are
being assigned the minimum altitude value that occurs within the map section
contained in the 3D map. This reduces the large altitude variation which could
occur so the 3D map looks better.
Version 1.03
Fixes
- Fixed a problem when closing Ozi3D, sometimes when closing the program
would do strange things, minimize itself and then lock up. Turned out to be a
timing issue in the on close event.
- Fixed a datum problem when loading waypoints and tracks into Ozi3D (not
when transferred with the 3D map from OziExplorer only when loaded onto a 3D
map using Ozi3D's own load options) when
the map was in a datum different to the data files.
Changes
Version 1.02
Fixes
- Lighting and Fog settings were not being read from the ini file on program
start.
Changes
Version 1.01
Fixes
- Ozi3D would not load maps using the Transverse Mercator (User Grid) map
projection - fixed.
Changes
- The position of the 3D map in the view window was determined by the
elevation of the map and the objects (waypoints/tracks) it contains. If say a
waypoint had an incorrect altitude it would influence the position and cause
the map to be off the screen. This version now only uses the elevations
contained in the map to position it on the screen so the map should always be
in the center of the screen.
